Summary

    Turbo Pure 48 1kg Pack is a temperature tolerant turbo yeast that is suited for mash and alco base, not for fruit Schnapps. Maximum dosage is 5.4 gram yeast per liter (0.7 oz./gallon). The fermentation is very clean, but at high temperatures a lot of by-products are produced. TurboPure 48 easily produce 18% ethanol by volume, but 20% with glucose if liquid temperature is kept at 20-25 °C throughout fermentation.

    Instructions for 25 liter:
    1. Dissolve 6-8 kg (13-17 lbs) sugar into 8 liter (2 US gallons) hot water.
    Make sure the sugar has completely dissolved before continuing.

    2. Top up to 25 liter (6.6 US Gallon) with cold water.

    3. Make sure the liquid temperature is below 39 °C (102 °F) then add the Turbo Yeast.

    Stir until no yeast particles are visible.

    4. Allow to ferment at 20-30 °C (68-86 °F) air temperature for 2-7 days.
    For a pure fermentation the air temp must be maximum 30 °C (86 °F).

    6 kg (13 lbs) sucrose 20 °C (68 °F) Amb, 2 days and 30 °C (86 °F) Amb 1-2 days.
    7 kg (15 lbs) sucrose 20 °C (68 °F) Amb, 4 days and 30 °C (86 °F) Amb 2-3 days.
    8 kg (17 lbs) sucrose 20 °C (68 °F) Amb, 7 days and 30 °C (86 °F) Amb 4-5 days.

    Turbo Pure 48 is as far as we know the most temperature tolerant high alcohol yeast strain in the world.

    It is extremely stress and osmo tolerant and can easily ferment to 18% by volume and can ferment glucose to 21% ABV in the rihght conditions (liquid temperature approx. 20C, no exra osmotic pressure etc.).

    Turbo Pure 48 is only for making pure alkohol (vodka) and alco base. It deos not extrakts flavour from fruit.
